Welcome

I am a senior lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Johannesburg.

From November 2012 to October 2014 I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow here at UJ. I worked mainly with Dr Willem Conradie on topics in algebra and logic. I was funded by the Claude Leon Foundation.

In October 2012 I submitted my DPhil (PhD) at the University of Oxford. Broadly speaking, my thesis involved a mixture of lattice theory and topology. More specifically, I looked at canonical extensions of bounded lattices and natural duality for bilattices. I was supervised by Professor Hilary Priestley.

Before going to Oxford I studied at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa. There I completed a BSc Joint Honours degree in Mathematics and Chemistry and then an MSc in Mathematics (by research) under the supervision of Professor Gunther Jäger.
